DANIEL CABEZAS

With more than 24 years of experience as a senior cybersecurity executive, Mr. Cabezas specializes in designing, developing and leading teams for large corporations and critical infrastructure. He has provided advisory and consulting services in a variety of industries, including financial, aerospace, manufacturing, power generation and national intelligence agencies.

Notable projects include designing the architecture and operational program for the world’s first dedicated SOC at a nuclear power plant (Barakah NPP). He has also served in the role of CISO, leading the development of the cyber strategy and operating model for organizations around the world.

Prior to joining APEIROO, Mr. Cabezas worked at Dubai-based Alvarez & Marsal as part of the Cyber Risk team. Before that, he was a partner at IBM, where he led the OT/IOT Cybersecurity practice for EMEA. Also worked at several consulting firms in the Middle East, Oceania and Europe, where he was responsible for the development of their cybersecurity consulting practices.

Mr. Cabezas studied mathematics at the Universitat de Barcelona and holds several certifications in information security, including CISSP, CISA, CEH, ISO 27001 and ISMS Lead Auditor. He is a recognized researcher and international speaker at events/media such as the Arab Monetary Fund (AMF), ComputerWorld, OWASP and RuxCON.
